Christmas Potluck

We will be having a potluck in school on Monday, December 21. Bring a dish to share with the class (if you are able!). Remember be mindful of allergies: no peanuts, tree nuts, kiwi or banana, please :)

The Potluck will take place in the afternoon. There is some fridge space to store your food in during the day, however if you can send it something that doesn't need to be refrigerated, it would be much appreciated. Same thing goes for heating.

It's Almost Halloween!

Tomorrow we will celebrate Halloween in school!
First three periods will continue as normal. Please come prepared for periods 1-3.
In the afternoon only, students are encouraged to wear their Halloween costume. You may bring a party snack with you for the afternoon, but we ask that you do not bring in food to share with others or with the class, due to allergy concerns.

In the afternoon we will be attending the Halloween Fair in the gym. Reminder that some games (Fish Pond and Bottle Drive) cost $2, so bring in a few dollars if you wish to participate in these games.

Have a safe and happy Halloween!

Long weekend and Social Studies Quiz

Good afternoon!

Just a reminder that it is an extra long weekend for students this weekend! There is no school tomorrow (teacher PD) and no school on Monday (Thanksgiving holiday). Hope you all have a lovely long weekend :)

On Wednesday, Oct. 14 there will be a Social Studies quiz. I have uploaded the study guides to work on over the weekend, you can find them here:
Social Studies Study Guide (English)
Sciences Humaines Guide d'étude (français)

As well, you can access the Quizlet links on the right hand side of this page for practice. Remember, Quizlet is great for being able to recognize key terms. However, students will need to be able to apply these terms to questions and problems asked on the quiz. They should prepare themselves by working through the questions on their study guide and referring to their notes and textbook.

Lastly, Monday, October 19 is the date of our first in-class independent novel study. Novels must be completed by this date.

Have a good weekend!
